Back
Ingredients:
- 1 lb extra-lean ground beef
- 6 slices center-cut bacon, diced
- 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 3 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/4 cup reduced-sugar ketchup
- 3 tbsp dill pickle relish
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp Frank's hot sauce
- 1 1/2 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 1 can (14 oz) fire-roasted diced tomatoes
Directions:
-
Cook the bacon in a large pot over medium heat. Cook until crispy, then drain
any excess grease.
-
Brown the beef. Drain any excess grease, but leave a little bit.
-
Add the green pepper, onion, and garlic. Cook until the vegetables soften and
start to brown, about 7-10 minutes.
-
Add in the spices and cook for about 1 minute.
-
Add ketchup, dill relish, Worcestershire, mustard, and hot sauce. Cook for
another 1-2 minutes.
-
Stir in tomatoes and beef broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer partially covered for
20-25 minutes.
